Day Rate : £430
To provide professional/ technical advice and guidance in children, adult and education cases to colleagues, managers and partner agencies to contribute to the delivery of the Council’s objectives and priorities.
About the role :
• Advising internal clients on all aspects of Adult Social Care.
• Protection work as well as ancillary matters such as ordinary residence; responsibilities
under the Care Act 2014; funding disputes; Mental Health Act 1986 queries.
• Drafting court applications to the Court of Protection/High Court/County Court.
• Instructing counsel in relation to any Court proceedings ensuing from the drafted court
applications.
• Drafting court orders and liaising with the Court.
• Conducting professional's meetings (both roundtable and advocate meetings).
• Providing general adult social care and mental health legal advice.
• To conduct and arrange training for officers in client departments and the Social Care team.
• To represent the Borough Solicitor at internal and external meetings.
• To contribute to the implementation of various quality systems within Legal Services and
meet performance targets.
