Finance Business Partner

Contract : 6 Months
Day Rate : £460

 This is a high-impact, "hands-on" role providing expert financial business partnering across our transformation portfolio. You will bridge the gap between complex data modelling and practical delivery, with a heavy initial focus on commercialisation, income generation, and contract efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Modelling: Build and maintain robust models for business cases, including cost-benefit analysis, sensitivity testing, and break-even projections.

Commercial Insight: Lead on option appraisals for income generation, fees and charges reviews, and cost-reduction opportunities.

Benefits Realisation: Design and manage processes to track programme costs, cashable savings, and ROI against the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS).

Strategic Partnering: Act as the finance lead for project boards, translating complex financial risks and "so what" implications for non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements Qualifications: CCAB qualified (or equivalent senior-level commercial finance experience).

Technical Skills: Advanced Excel is essential; experience with Power BI and local government finance systems (ERP/GL) is highly desirable.

Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to evaluate trading models, service redesigns, and value-for-money in a public sector context.

Problem Solving: A self-starter who can cleanse inconsistent datasets and provide clarity in ambiguous environments.

Communication: Ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively and diplomatically to ensure proposals are affordable and deliverable.
