Flood Risk Engineer

Contract : 3 Months
Hourly Rate : £40-£45

Role Purpose

• To be the technical specialist and able to deliver Council services across flood risk analysis including reviewing flood risk assessments, SuDS designs, responding to planning applications as well as contributing when required to the management of the council’s flood storage assets.
• To constructively challenge consultants and developers to design effective drainage systems that comply with local and national planning policy and legislation.
• To be a knowledgeable expert in SuDS systems and able to monitor and assess new and existing drainage systems across a range of developments including new large residential sites.
• Ensure the Council meets its statutory obligations and that the highest standards of probity and good conduct are maintained at all times.
• Take collective responsibility for ensuring excellent services are provided to our residents.
